BCMCC - Competition Outline

  1. Composers submit a new original chamber work that includes bassoon before 1 May 2010
    1. New works must be between 6-15 minutes in length
    2. Chamber works are to have a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 players.
  2. An expert panel of judges will evaluate the works and 3-6 winners will be chosen
  3. Composers will be notified of the results before 31 December 2010
    1. All composers submitting a work to the BCMCC will receive feedback forms from members of the judging panel
  4. Winnering works:
    1. Will be recorded and released on CD under the MSR Classics label
    2. Have the option of publishing with TrevCo Music
  5. Plans for a concert featuring the winners are underway and details will be specified when winners are chosen
