BCMCC - Entry Requirements

  1. Open to all composers regardless of age
  2. Composers must reside in the United States
  3. A composer may submit only one entry
  4. Completed applications must be submitted before 1 May 2010
  5. A $40 application fee is required
  6. Late submissions will not be accepted
  7. The submission must be a new work that has not been published, performed or recorded
  8. Compositions must be between 6-15 minutes in length
  9. Chamber works submitted must include the bassoon.
  10. Chamber works are to have a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 players. Suggestions for instrumentations include:
    1. Flute, Bassoon, Piano
    2. Oboe, Bassoon, Piano
    3. Clarinet, Bassoon, Piano
    4. Bassoon, Marimba, Piano
    5. Voice, Bassoon, Piano
    6. Strings, Bassoon, Piano
  11. All decisions are final.  BCMCC reserves the right not to award winners
